Trip/Bus Rules
- The bus company Werner
Coach Inc. provides the CERTIFICATE OF
LIABILITY INSURANCE to the Transportation
Department of Cornell University.
- By purchasing the ticket
you and your parents/guardians take
full responsibility for any risk
associated with the trips and agree
that the coordinators' role is only
to facilitate the trips and they
have no responsibility for any harm
that may occur to you or other
students as a result of the trips.
You agree not to take legal action
against the coordinators for any
harm that may occur to you in
association with the trips.
- Bus companies including
Werner Coach make every effort to
provide on-time service. None of
them can guarantee its departure and
arrival times, which may be affected
by any number of factors including
weather, traffic, or mechanical
problems. The Bus Company (including
Werner Coach) is not liable for any
inconvenience or expense caused as a
result of such a delay.
- Be at the
bus stop 15 minutes before
departure for loading.
Look for the "Werner Coach"
sign on the bus.
You only need your Student ID to board the bus.
Your ticket is
posted on our website in a file
OrderForm.pdf.
Look for a link to it in the email sent to
you by Autoresponder in response to any
email that you sent to us. The list is
verified on the bus by a trip coordinator.
There is a restroom on the bus.
No alcohol, smoking or
improper behavior are
permitted.
Do not distract the
driver.
Do not place heavy
objects in the overhead racks.
Before debarking, please
clean up the area around your seat,
and put all trash into the trash
bags provided.
Report ASAP to
the student coordinator or
parent-coordinators of any suspected
activity or unknown person(s) that
should not be on the bus.
Your safety depends on
proper behavior of all students.
Luggage
limit and loading: Each student is
limited to 2 suitcases of a
reasonable size and weight and a
carry-on. Passengers may be
asked to bring some smaller
luggage onto the bus with them
in order to preserve space for
larger bags of other students.
The storage area inside the bus
can be enlarged by any free
seats used for storing bags.
Please use this recommendation
in order to avoid luggage space
issues at boarding time. It was
never a case that a student
wasn't able to take all his
luggage even when it was large.
The carrier will not turn you
back but will try to accommodate
to the situation.
Please be aware that on
return trips to Cornell, luggage is
stored according to your campus
location. The Bus Driver will direct
you to the correct compartment.
In order to shorten the trip time we will not wait for any
late students unless they notify us
by phone. Please use numbers listed
in the
Contacts section.
Please be advised that
refunds will only be granted up to
one month before the trip is
scheduled. After that, there will be
no refunds
for cancelled seats after the
payment was made to Werner Coach for
the bus
unless there are students on the
Waiting List willing to purchase
cancelled
seats.
PayPal allows for refunds minus
their processing fees within
180 days from the payment
date. Any refunds after that time
will be paid immediately to your
PayPal
account after providing the
associated email address.
Please setup the
PayPal account and forward the email
to
cpbus@cbtcorp.net
All other refunds will be paid with
checks by April 30, 2020. Please
contact us
if your refund is missing.
PayPal no longer refunds a fee
charged when the original transaction was
made. Their refund policy that went into
effect on October 11, 2019 reads: "In
line with industry practice and according to
our updated policy, we will not charge a fee
to process refunds, but the fees from the
original transaction will not be returned." As
a result of this change
we will refund your original payment minus
fees charged by PayPal i.e. minus $.49 and
minus 3.49% of the original sum paid.
There is public WiFi
available on the 54 size buses only.
What to expect
from the Waiting List:

Nobody can predict
if and when a spot will be released for you
following a cancellation.

You have no
obligation to wait for a cancellation.

You can ask
for a refund from the waiting list at
any time.

We will not
assign a cancelled seat without asking
you to accept it.
