Itinerary Table of Cornell-Phila Bus

  • The order of the stops and departure/arrival times have been adjusted in the Phila area to accommodate for adding a permanent stop at the Amtrak Train Station in Philadelphia, Sats allowing students to arrive to Cornell on time for dinner. Please verify the Bus Schedules for details.

  • In order to shorten the trip time we will not wait for any late students in Phila area unless they notify us by phone. Please use numbers listed in the Contacts section.

  • Estimated arrival times include rest stops. Adjust your pick up time accordingly to road conditions and length of rest stops taken.

  • Additional on Demand (no extra charge) Stop:  Ithaca College Campus in Ithaca, NY (typically for Thanksgiving and Winter trips).

  • For students planning to arrive to University City in Philadelphia. The cost of taxi fare between the Amtrak Train Station and University City at Walnut Street and 34th Street is around $10 to $15 according to Taxi Fare Finder. Please check their site here to estimate the current cost of any taxi ride in Philadelphia. Hint for taxis at 30th Street Station: If the line for a cab is long, and there are no cabs in the queue, walk over to Market Street and hail a cab. Market Street will be to your right as you come out of the station to stand in the cab line.
  • When two or more buses are used we have split routes for them in Phila area. Please board them accordingly to your trip plans following the stops listed in the table below if applicable for the current trip.
  • Please be advised that the Cornell Department of Transportation requested to change the bus stop order on the campus to the following:
    ​​​​​​​1. When trip is from Cornell to Philadelphia then the bus starts from the North campus stop and then follows to the West campus stop. 
    2. When trip is from Philadelphia to Cornell, it arrives first to the West campus and then ends in the North campus.

Allentown Service Plaza - There is no need to get on the turnpike. The employee parking lot is located on an access road off of Cetronia Rd. This road goes south off of Tilghman St. This is how the parents can pick up and drop off. If you look at Google Maps you can see a large parking lot behind the rest area building. We drop at the gate at the far end of the lot near the access gate.

The location is near the SEPTA bus stop. It is between Home Depot and the parking lot of Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon. Look at the map on Bus Stops page.

Notes:

  • The above schedule follows the Cornell Academic calendar shown here: http://www.cornell.edu/academics/calendar/
  • We will accept the orders and payments for as long as free seats are available.
  • Two buses are planned for the Thanksgiving and Spring Recesses.
  • There is no seat assignment to bus 1 or 2 for the Thanksgiving and Spring trips. There are less than 54 students boarding/departing the bus in KOP, Amtrak and Neshaminy Mall combined. While boarding the bus at CU please ask the driver which bus will continue to NM, Amtrak and KOP and board that bus or switch to it later in Plymouth Meeting as needed. It will wait until all students departing in NM, Amtrak and KOP board it.
